Weight Loss & Management
Neils Pharmacy Weight Loss Clinic
Private, Prescriber-Led Weight Management
At Neils Pharmacy, we offer a private, prescriber-led weight loss clinic for adults who want a safe, structured and medically appropriate approach to weight loss.
๐ฉโโ๏ธ All consultations and any prescribing decisions are overseen by a qualified prescribing pharmacist.
โ We focus on clinical suitability, patient safety and sustainable outcomes โ not quick fixes.
Supporting Safe & Effective Weight Loss
๐ฅ Diet, activity and lifestyle changes are the foundation of healthy weight management. However, appetite regulation and long-term adherence can be difficult โ especially where there are additional medical or metabolic factors.
๐ If you have already tried lifestyle measures without the results you need, our prescribing pharmacist can assess whether medical treatment may be appropriate for you as part of a structured weight management programme.
๐ง Treatment (where suitable) is intended to support weight loss alongside lifestyle change โ not replace it.
Am I Eligible?
You may be suitable for our weight loss clinic if you:
๐ Are 18 years of age or over
โ๏ธ Have a BMI of 30 or above
๐ซ Have a BMI of 27 or above with a weight-related health condition
๐ Eligibility and suitability are confirmed during a private clinical consultation, which includes a review of your medical history, current medicines, weight-loss goals and individual risk factors.
โ ๏ธ Some people may not be suitable due to medical conditions, certain medicines, or pregnancy/breastfeeding โ this will be discussed during your assessment.
Prescriber-Led Weight Loss Treatment
๐ Some weight loss medicines are prescription-only and can only be supplied following assessment by a qualified prescriber.
โ ๏ธ In line with UK advertising regulations, prescription-only medicines cannot be promoted. During your consultation, our prescribing pharmacist will:
๐ฉบ Carry out a structured clinical assessment and safety screening
๐ฌ Discuss treatment approaches that may be suitable for you
๐ค Use a shared decision-making approach
โ Prescribe treatment only if it is safe and clinically appropriate
๐ If treatment is initiated, youโll receive clear counselling on:
๐ What to expect and how to use treatment correctly
โ ๏ธ Possible side effects and how to manage them
๐ When to seek advice or review
๐ฅ All medicines supplied are genuine, sourced via licensed UK wholesalers/manufacturers, and dispensed in line with professional standards.
